Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association is a non profit organization that exists to promote and educate girls in the skill, knowledge, sportsmanship and love of the sport of lacrosse. The Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association was created to offer all girls the opportunity to learn and play the sport of lacrosse. The IGLA offers leagues, camps, and clinics in many communities throughout Chicagoland. Age Groups that IGLA Welcomes: IGLA looks to train coaches similarly to other community youth programs. Experienced coaches train parent volunteers and current varsity lacrosse players to coach in IGLA. Michelle Sebastian: Outside of running the IGLA, Michelle, former D1 player at Vanderbilt, is currently a Head Varsity Coach for Montini Catholic High School. Michelle formerly coached at Hinsdale Central for four years where the team came in 3rd, 1st, 3rd, and 3rd in state, respectively. She and her husband have a young daughter with lacrosse aspirations and another baby currently on the way. Bridget Olp: Along with running the IGLA, Bridget is a nationally ranked official and officiates NCAA lacrosse. She is the assignor for the Illinois High School Womens Lacrosse Association, local NCAA D3 teams, the Womens Collegiate Lacrosse League, and sits on the Illinois Umpiring Board and WCLL Board. At the national level she serves on the Board of Governors at US Lacrosse. She also founded and operates Lakeshore Lacrosse. Noella Brewer and Sandie Calteaux helped start the inaugural lacrosse team at Benet Academy. They also have daughters who play the sport and coach for the IGLA.
