CHICAGO
Director: Caitlin Bonham
Caitlin is currently developing and co-directing the Chicago IGLA league. Over the past year, she has been involved with the Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association on many levels, coaching IGLA clinics and teams in Chicago as well as many summer camps in the suburbs and officiating. Caitlin began playing lacrosse in 9th grade in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is a US Lacrosse certified umpire, coaches youth lacrosse for IGLA as well as Lakeshore Lacrosse in Chicago, plays in the Lakeshore Lacrosse summer league, and serves on the executive committee of the Illinois Umpiring Board. She plans to become a teacher and is very excited to provide an opportunity for young girls to play youth lacrosse in Chicago.
Co-Director: Lynn Merrill
Lynn grew up in Chicago and starting playing lacrosse at Loyola Academy. She continued playing at the University of Illinois where she graduated with a degree in Spanish and International Studies. She currently teaches elementary Spanish and is the head girls’ lacrosse coach at Northside College Prep High School. She loves coaching youth lacrosse, continuing to play the game herself and being a US Lacrosse certified official.
NORTH
Winnetka - Glencoe - Northfield - Kenilworth
Director: Rachael Seul
Rachael grew up in a suburb north of Chicago and attended New Trier High School. She played girls' lacrosse for 4 years and was a part of New Trier High School's 2001 Girls' Lacrosse State Championship team. After graduating from Marquette University, she began coaching youth lacrosse in Kenilworth, Illinois in the spring of 2006. Since then, she has continued to stay involved in the Kenilworth girls' youth lacrosse programs. She has also been very involved in coaching and directing for the combined Winnetka/Northfield/Glencoe girls' youth lacrosse leagues that span grades 3 through 8 since 2008 for both Fall and Spring seasons for Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association. Recently, she coached a Lakeshore Lacrosse Select team in Lake Forest and led them to the league championship in July. Rachael loves spreading her love of the sport across the northern suburbs of Chicago. She also teaches 4th grade at Faith Hope and Charity School in Winnetka.

Deerfield
Director: Ohan Kedjidjian
Ohan Kedjidjian was instrumental in bringing an Illinois Girls Lacrosse
Association team to Deerfield in the fall of 2009, and the Deerfield
Lady Warriors had a very strong inaugural season. Currently, he is
working towards earning his US Lacrosse CEP Level 1 and Level 2
certifications for youth girls’ lacrosse. Ohan has been coaching youth
sports for nearly 30 years both in Deerfield and Evanston. Ohan is
currently working closely with Deerfield High School Girls' Lacrosse
coaching staff to build a feeder program that makes girls’ youth
lacrosse a dominant sport in Deerfield.
Evanston
Director: Sarah McKenna
Sarah is the head varsity
girls' lacrosse coach at Evanston Township High School and is very
excited to have a youth lacrosse program in Evanston. Sarah played
on the varsity lacrosse team at Evanston Township High School, then
went on to play a year of collegiate women's lacrosse on the University
of Michigan Club Women's Lacrosse team before transferring to Vassar
College. At Vassar Sarah studied biology and played both varsity lacrosse and field hockey. Sarah was
an assistant coach for two years for the University of Illinois Women's
Lacrosse Club. She currently plays for Lakeshore Women’s Lacrosse Club
and coaches youth and girls' lacrosse for Lakeshore Lacrosse. She is
completing her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Northwestern
University. Sarah loves teaching girls the game of lacrosse.
Lakeforest - Lake Bluff
Director: Sophie Eustis
Sophie started playing girls' lacrosse in middle school when her mother started a youth lacrosse league in her home town of Andover, Massachusetts. Sophie went on to play on the varsity girls' lacrosse team at Concord Academy in Massachusetts. She came to Chicago to attend Northwestern in 2003. There, Sophie was on the varsity fencing team and the women's lacrosse club team. During college she coached the Oak Park River Forest junior varsity and freshmen/sophomore girls' lacrosse teams and Lakeshore Lacrosse. She has coached youth lacrosse leagues in Oak Park, Lake Forest and Evanston. Sophie currently lives in Chicago and works in Evanston as an educational consultant for colleges. She plays with the Lakeshore Women’s Lacrosse Club team and coaches girls' lacrosse whenever she gets the chance!
Northbrook - Glenview - Highland Park
Devin McCue - Devin grew up on the north side of Chicago and
attended Loyola
Academy where she was one of the founding members of the lacrosse
program. She went on to play Division III lacrosse at Allegheny
College in western Pennsylvania. After 2 years in goal, Devin
transitioned to the midfield where she was a defensive wing. After
graduating in 2002 with A BA in Communication Arts she returned home to
work on her Masters in Education. She coached the Varsity and Junior
Varsity teams at Northside College Prep High School from 2003-2006.
She has coached for both Lakeshore Lacrosse at the High School level
and IGLA at the middle school level. Devin currently works as a
photographer and a teacher for the Special Gifts Theater.

Director: Mike Fullerton
Mike attended Bowling Green University
in Ohio where he learned the game of lacrosse from his ATO fraternity
brothers from Maryland and Long Island. Mike still has his first
midfielders wooden lacrosse stick from 1968. Mike has spent the
last 11 years coaching girls youth sports in Palatine. Mike has
coached both Park District Soccer/Palatine Celtic travel soccer (holding
an “E” License from the IYSA soccer organization) and Park District
Basketball/Fremd Feeder Travel basketball. Last year, Mike
helped coach the younger girls through his participation in the IGLA
program in Northbrook. Mike is currently the Director of
the Fremd Feeder Basketball program where he has coached girls in grades
5-8. Mike is married with three daughters…his middle daughter
played lacrosse at Fremd High School and participated in the Lakeshore
Lacrosse Travel program for three years (she is now a Freshman on the
club team at the U of I.). Mike’s goal is to help grow the sport
of Lacrosse in the NW suburbs.
Elmhurst
Director: Carolyn Nikitas
Carolyn grew up in a suburb of Syracuse, NY and played soccer and softball in high school. There was no girls' youth lacrosse in high school in Syracuse back then. Carolyn switched from softball to lacrosse in her junior year at St. Michael's College in Vermont. She has coached the Elmhurst IGLA teams since 2008. She founded the York High School girls' lacrosse team in 2009. Carolyn works full time, is married and has three children.
Glen Ellyn
Director: Bob Regan
Bob grew up in Massapequa in Long Island, New York; a hotbed for lacrosse. He has served as the head girls' lacrosse coach at Fenwick High School and as assistant girls' lacrosse coach at Montini High School. He currently serves as the head varsity girls' lacrosse coach at Glenbard West High School. Bob has completed the ASEP Certification for both Coaching and First Aid as well the Positive Coaching Alliance's AED Certification program. Bob is also the founder of COOL STICK a local crosse stringing business that specializes in women's and girls' lacrosse sticks. He enjoys helping the game grow and would like to see Illinois become an elite lacrosse state.
Hinsdale - Burr Ridge - Darien - Clarendon Hills - Lisle - Oak Brook - Willowbrook
Director: Sarah Goers
Sarah has
been coaching the junior varsity girls' lacrosse team at Hinsdale
Central since 2008. She has been involved in youth lacrosse as the
director of Hinsdale IGLA since the fall of 2008. In the winter of
2009 she started coaching indoor girls' youth lacrosse for Lakeshore
Lacrosse. Sarah started playing girls' lacrosse when she was a
freshman at Hinsdale Central High School. She also played her junior year for Purdue University’s women's lacrosse club. Sarah grew up in Hinsdale and is currently working for her family’s business at Vern Goers Greenhouse.
Oak Park - River Forest
Director: Katie Fegan
Katie grew up in River Forest, IL and started playing lacrosse in 2000. She attended Oak Park and River Forest High School where she helped start the first girls' lacrosse team back in 2002. Katie has been coaching for Lakeshore Lacrosse and the IGLA since 2006 and has been the junior varsity coach at OPRF since 2007. Katie is excited to be coaching so much and loves coaching girls from all different levels of play. Game on!
Pleasantdale
Director: Mike Polka
Western Springs - LaGrange - LaGrange Park - Pleasantdale
Director: Jaci Downey
Jaci was a founding member of the Hinsdale Central High School girls' lacrosse program and was selected as a Team Illinois player. She was recruited for Virginia Wesleyan College where she played Division III women's lacrosse as a goalie. After college Jaci coached for the Hinsdale Central’s freshman/sophomore girls' lacrosse team for two season and for the Hinsdale Wind Lacrosse Club team. During the off-season Jaci coaches for Lakeshore Lacrosse and serves as a goalie coach. She also coaches youth lacrosse in the fall, spring and summer. Jaci is currently the goalie coach for the Montini Catholic High School girls' lacrosse program and also serves as the coach for Montini's freshman/sophomore girls' lacrosse team.
