Help Your Daughter to be the Best She Can Be! 
If you have played, watched, or coached basketball, we can easily teach you lacrosse!


Head Coaches will receive full reimbursement for their daughter's registration and Assistant Coaches will receive a $25 rebate. See bottom of page for more information on requirements to qualify for a rebate. We offer advanced and beginner classes based on your coaching experience.
 
Upcoming Opportunities for 2010 Fall IGLA:

There is still time to become a parent volunteer.  You can meet an IGLA trainer at your location 45 minutes before the first practice (the week of 9/7) to learn more about the game.  We have scheduled follow-up meetings Sunday, September 12th in Evanston at Evanston Township High School (near the softball fields) from 12-1 p.m. and in Northbrook at Techny Prairie and Park from 2-3 p.m.  All parents are welcome! We need your help!  As we grow as an organization, we are trying to increase our number of parent volunteers.  We must have parent volunteers on each team to operate effectively.  Practice is one day a week with one game on Sunday afternoons.  This is quality time with your daughter that she will truly appreciate.  It is also nice to understand the sport that your daughter enjoys. We provide full practice plans (new and improved) that will be handed out to you and you will be paired with an experienced lacrosse person!  You will also receive a rebate at the end of the season.  Please let me know (by phone or email) if you have any questions and if you are interested in coaching.

Parent Assistant Volunteer Coaches will continue to receive a $25 rebate!

Practice is 1.5 hours/week and games will require just another 1.5 hours of your time!
We also need helpers for each team to help coordinate treats, help with game days, and communication!

Qualifying for Head Coach Volunteer Rebate (IGLA will reimburse 100% of league fee)

  • Must volunteer as an assistant coach for one IGLA season (either spring or fall)
  • Must have attended a beginner and advanced training class
  • Must fulfill all Head Coaching Requirements to be verified with IGLA by location director at end of season. 
  • IGLA will only recognize one head coach per team for rebate.
  • Please sign your daughter up through a participating park district or through IGLA and IGLA will honor the rebate following the end of the season.

Qualifying for Assistant Coach Volunteer Rebate (IGLA will reimburse $25 of league fee)

  • Must have attended a beginner or advanced training class
  • Must fulfill all Assistant Coaching Requirements to be verified with IGLA by location director at end of season.

All Head Coaching and Assistant Coach Volunteering Responsibilities will be laid out in full at the Coaching meetings.

Any returning coach is able to get coaching training through the US Lacrosse website. 
  • You must become a US Lacrosse member, which is a $50 value! Click Here 
  • The CEP level 1 on-line course can then be completed.  The course is $25. Click Here
  • You will be reimbursed upon email verification that the course has been completed.
