Help Your Daughter to be the Best She Can Be!
If you are familiar with other sports, we can easily teach you lacrosse!
We need your help! As our organization grows, we are trying to increase our number of parent volunteers. We must have parent volunteers on each team to operate effectively.
Parents, we want you to be as informed as possible on the game that your daughter is enjoying. We offer beginner and advanced coaching classes. We will also help you understand the rules, provide full practice plans and pair you with an experienced lacrosse player!
We invite all parents that want a better understanding of the game to join us at one of our parent informational meetings. We believe that high parent involvement is key to the growth and success of the IGLA.

Spring meetings will begin Monday, April 2nd.

Volunteer Opportunites with IGLA:
• Head Coach (see below)
• Assistant Coach (see below)
• 1st day practice/registration coordinator: Assist the location director with checking everyone in on the first day of practice.
• Team snack organizer: Help organize families to bring snacks for the team on game days
• Uniform support: Come to the designated practices to help pass out uniform shirts.
• Game day support: Assist location director with game day set up and break down.
• Team communicator: Send team emails with practice information, game information, and weather cancellations. Work directly with the location director.
• Team photographer: Take game pictures and a team picture. Possibly send team picture and recap to local paper.
• End of Season Party Coordinator: Help plan a team party
• Sponsorships: Help to identify good organization in the community to work with IGLA
• Spring Festival Volunteer: Help at end of season Spring Festival (June 9, 2013).

Qualifying for Head Coach Volunteer Rebate (IGLA will reimburse 100% of league fee)
Must volunteer as an assistant coach for one IGLA season (either spring or fall)
Must have attended a beginner and advanced training class
Must fulfill all Head Coaching Requirements to be verified with IGLA by location director at end of season.
IGLA will only recognize one head coach per team for rebate.
Please sign your daughter up through a participating park district or through IGLA and IGLA will honor the rebate following the end of the season.
Qualifying for Assistant Coach Volunteer Rebate (IGLA will reimburse $25 of league fee)
Must have attended a beginner or advanced training class
Must fulfill all Assistant Coaching Requirements to be verified with IGLA by location director at end of season.
IGLA will only recognize one assistant coach per team for rebate.
Please sign your daughter up through a participating park district or through IGLA and IGLA will honor the rebate following the end of the season.
All coaches are able to receive additional coaching training through the US Lacrosse website.
